December 2008 Newsletter
The December campout was
held at the Twin Fountains RV Resort, OKC, OK. Some arrived on the 8th
(Johnson's) most came in on the 11th. The weather was a little windy and
cold, but not bad. We had the separate clubroom, which was ok. We had a
couple of nights of cards and games. Loads of snacks and drinks were
brought in. We had a great time. This was our Christmas get together. We
had some of our past members attend, Donnie and Charlene Fink, Nick and
Greta Nickles, Christine Roberts, and Ann Hopkins. Bill & Loretta West also
attended. Bill is getting better and it shows. Just take it easy, Bill.
We did have a lot to do at this outing. Thursday we toured the Oklahoman
Building in OKC. It was great. The ladies who did the tours were super. On
Friday we toured the State Capital. Great tour, our guide, Bill, was very
good. On Saturday we all went to the Cowboy Hall of Fame for a lunch
buffet. The food was great. Thank Inez Tucker for setting this up.
Saturday night we all gathered around the large TV in the lounge area to
watch the Heisman Trophy award - Sam won. Everyone who attended this
campout gets a big thank you for all the snacks and help.
BUSINESS MEETING: Our President Dennis Maxwell called the meeting to order.
Old Business; Dennis made note that we needed to get our dues for 2009 in,
$30.00. New officers for 2009 were announced again. They are as follows:

TREASURER'S REPORT: Karen Thrailkill reported that our balance was
$769.00(Est).
SECRETARY'S REPORT: Barry Barratiere, Last News Letter, Ha Ha
Next Outing: Jim Johnson asked Zane Callahan to check on a site we could
meet at and have a meal. They will get the word out.
