On Wednesday p.m., the 5th, we lost a good friend and long-time Club Member, Tommie Cheatham. Her Memorial Service was Monday, the 10th, in OKC. She will be missed a great deal but we all have lots of pleasant memories of the good times we had with her at the campouts. To me she was special and a good friend, always pleasant and treating everyone the same. We did tease her a lot but she was a good sport and never seemed to mind. Erby, you have our prayers, support, and love during this difficult time.

Rhonda had surgery on Friday, the 7th, at the OU Medical Center in OKC. She is home now but will require further treatments. See Caring Bridge for an update on her condition.

Also remember Shirley and Lu with health problems, Bonnie H. a bad fall, bruised, but no broken bones, Harry is having tests for extreme swelling, Drewman is having back problems.

We did not have a campout in September. The October campout, 4th - 6th, will be at Oak Grove Campground in Grove, OK. The menu will be hamburgers, side dishes provided by members. Those signed up to go are the Barratieres, Boltes, Callahans, Griffins, Johnsons, Marshes, Maxwells, Tuckers, Thrailkills and Wests.

Directions to the Grove campground: Exit I-44 at Exit 302, go South on SH59 13 miles over Sail Boat Bridge, ½ mile on the right.

Those who plan to attend the Hitchhiker Rally in Kansas will leave from the Campground on the 7th or 8th. If you plan on going before the Rally starts there will be an additional charge per night. Those signed up to go are Boltes, Callahans, Johnsons, Marshes, Maxwells, Thrailkills and Wests. For scheduling on either of these, please contact Zane Callahan @ 376-0769
